What Certificates do I require?
A valid 2018 Endorsed IRC Certificate and a valid 2018 ORCi Certificate.
How do I apply for an IRC Endorsed IRC Certificate?
Please apply for your New IRC Certificate by submitting a new application via your local IRC Rule Authority
I have an IRC Certificate but it has expired.
Please apply for your 2018 IRC Certificate by submitting a Revalidation application via your local IRC Rule Authority.
I have an IRC Certificate but it isn’t Endorsed, how do I know what I will need to obtain Endorsement?
Contact your local Rule Authority who will be able to advise you based on the data already held on your boat.
How long does it take to receive my IRC Certificate once I have submitted my application?
Once we have all the necessary data the turnaround is up to 21 days – there is an option to expedite your application to a 5 day turnaround and the cost is double for this service.
Does it cost more to apply for an Endorsed IRC Certificate?
There is no extra charge for issuing an Endorsed IRC Certificate but the task of obtaining the relevant data may attract charges. For more details please contact your local Rule Authority.
What if I have had my IRC Certificate issued but then wish to make changes before the race?
You can apply for an amendment but please refer of the NOR deadlines and be aware that changes may require further checks to maintain Endorsement.
As soon as you are aware that you wish to make an amendment please submit your application even if your relevant data is to follow. Once we have all the necessary data the turnaround is up to 28 days – there is an option to expedite your application to a 5 day turnaround, the cost is double for this service.
I have an Endorsed IRC Certificate but it is not valid, do I need to have my boat weighed and measured again for my 2018 Endorsed IRC Certificate?
If nothing on your boat has changed since your last issued Endorsed IRC Certificate then you can simply apply for a revalidation and do not need have to have her weighed and measured again for the purpose of issuing a 2018 Endorsed IRC Certificate.
I have an ORCi certificate can you use the data from this to obtain an Endorsed IRC Certificate?
Yes we can use some of the data to generate an Endorsed IRC Certificate, please include this when you apply for your new application or revalidation and your Local Rule Authority will advise what further information we will require.
