trentadue 5

by Carlini Design

Trentadue is the summary of experience and development for almost twenty years of Sebastian Carlini’s yacht design career and is the first boat designed for IRC racing in Argentina.  Innovation and creativity have guided this exciting design, and an ‘out of the box’ concept and innovative avant-garde lines define this new IRC sailboat.

Two versions have been developed: one for national and international competition under IRC rating, and an alternative option with cruising features. The racing version has symmetrical spinnaker, "square top" mainsail, double backstay and 2.05m keel draft. The cruising version includes asymmetric spinnaker, standard mainsail and a single backstay with 1.65m shallow keel. Tiller or twin steering wheels are available, to enhance the "feel" that only a tiller can give to racers, and the incomparable comfort and romanticism that only steering wheels can provide for cruising purposes.  The boat has been designed both for sailors who put excellence first, and also for the family that enjoy relaxing sailings.

The interior arrangement shows a number of careful details incorporating elegance and innovation in its three versions: loft style, one cabin or two cabins.  Inside, the boat offers a spacious arrangement to guarantee maximum comfort for family voyages.  ‘Trentadue’ in her full version offers a controllable electrical digital system, using LED touch screen with intelligent control system and remote monitoring. In addition, it is fully illuminated with LED technology and diffused light accompanying the state of the art style in the interior arrangement.

The hull and appendages are the result of extensive CFD studies, testing more than twenty different alternatives each, resulting in outstanding sailing behaviour and maximum performance in all conditions.  All Trentadue’s plugs were built using a CNC router for highest shaping precision and best surface finishing.

The first Trentadue “Trending Topic” was launched in December 2015 in Argentina, and a month later she honored her name as the ‘WINNER IRC (A) ROLEX CUP PUNTA DEL ESTE 2016´.
